Brrrrr2!!
This shot was taken on tynemouth beach near newcastle upon tyne. It was a pretty wet and cold day and the only other people on the beach were people walking their dogs.
I quite like this shot in black and white but the original can be seen in my gallery if you want to see the difference.
The only drawback to wet weather photography is getting water on the lens as has happened in this shot. Bit of a shame but I dont think it spoils in too much.

Shame the clouds weren’t as interesting (texture wise) as the sand

The lack of cloud detail does help to give a sense of bleakness, though.
I’d crop it a little left and right however. Eliminate the few pixels of a person on the right hand side, and crop just in from the big black bit of seaweed on the left… I reckon that’d improve the shot. Nice and bleak though!
